I've got a video that shows the process I went through to design this project if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl51TtUrQBg This model is intended to be printed without support and at around 15-20% infill. It requires two of the base pieces and one rod piece. The sizing should be set up so that the pieces fit perfectly on Joel's 1x2 lumber. Additionally, it should be able to hold any spool weighing 0.5 or 1 kg with ease.
