My Elastic Revolver

My Elastic Revolver

I created a remix of this beautiful creation by Marko Roolaid: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-3d-printed-rubber-band-gun-143535 which was printable in 4 elements, but with supports, and thus a very consequent work of cleaning after printing ... WARNING: for printer 30x30 cm! Body dimensions: 244x124 mm, total thickness of the 2 half-shells once assembled: 21 mm Assembled with 7 wood screws of 3x15 mm (see photo): the heads of the screws are to be trimmed on the right half of the body using a 6 mm diameter steel bit by hand the holes will be to be enlarged on this same right half-body, using a drill + a steel bit of 2 mm in diameter The pins of the mechanism should be 4 mm in diameter (I successfully used a wooden skewer!) The holes for these pins must be 4.5 mm in diameter (correct if necessary with a 4.5 mm steel bit) To test the toy quickly, you can just print : the left body the right body the star the trigger the handlebar For the complete toy, print and paste: the gun muzzle (glue only on a half body, otherwise you won't be able to disassemble the gun!) the right barrel, to be glued first by aligning on the body screw (see photo) the left barrel, to stick in relation to the right barrel the left butt plate the right butt plate Approximate length of the shooting elastic, when flattened on a ruler: about 65 mm, section: 2x1 mm, but other dimensions may also be suitable, it's up to you to test. Loading procedure: Place the rubber band on the handlebar and then on a branch of the "star", turn it backwards until it clicks, you can load a total of 4 rubber bands in a row, or load a single rubber band in a single shot Important note about loading 4 rubber bands: these elastics will create a very important traction force on the "star", this force must be compensated by a much greater force of the elastic which maintains the trigger, otherwise uncontrolled shooting!
