I'm a little late on my promise to show the design as a USB storage solution. Since it seems I have no control over how long that takes, let's assume you are interested in just this, for the moment. With all options turned up, what you get is a big pen holder that will take ten USB sticks, three SD cards, and even has a gap where you can add an SD card adapter, or maybe two of those for double-sized memory cards. You're given these choices: Device_Type (which is actually pretty useless right now - we can adjust it to be a flash drive or other sorts of devices with minimal changes), SD_gap (the width of the slot used by the USB storage drives you'll store), Pencil_radius (not sure how this will affect things since pens seem very inflexible and don't bend much). Build instructions for: Flash Drive Display Preset to the pen style, so if you decide on using that particular part of this setup, then it will give your sign its final finish in one step. Note to anyone new here, the idea with customizer designs is often more about just making sure all components are ready. Since you already did the design of the build plate with us last time, we have two more steps ahead now: making and installing all components in the right order. You might think it strange to not show your parts at this point, but it turns out they will look just like a real sign, with text written on top that could indicate who uses each. That said, once we are all done, you'll be ready for an entire pen stand that displays your devices (in case those flash drives got damaged in shipping somehow). In the end you might ask why you wouldn't just have all of them shown, since they would also appear more accurate by displaying how big this final build would look, and yes you could add additional items such as USB stick sizes on the right-hand side if that sounds cool to you. What you get now is something we call 'device holder'. This gives a quick view into the actual device used to display devices, which may vary depending upon their specific needs. Since flash drives do not actually hold pen-style ink they aren't able to be displayed by them (unlike a real USB storage drive which does not require ink either but is easily replaced with an old USB connector) this setup uses the USB and Pencil part for storing only actual pen and paper, no ink-based devices. You will notice at the moment this sign holder works in reverse. As an active project its first use-case may well involve creating new displays using similar ideas from now on. This also allows the sign's background design be set once more. We made two versions with pen-stored options as before (where a USB can just rest between 4 small gaps or go underneath). Here's the main display section: With all three display parts shown above we will proceed.
