My Customized Tree
thingiverse
Here's a tree branching simulator I customized for the thingiverse. It was created with a customizer app from http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=279864. To use it: Using the following options: Root Max Ratio: set to 60% Allow all overhangs: no, turn off Stop budding position: at 60% Min length ratio: set to 70% Max allowed overhang angle: 50 degrees Branch twist angle: 90 degrees Max branching angle: 55 degrees Min number of branches from each branch: two branches minimum Tip min ratio: set to 50% Seed: no seed provided, starting at 0 Minimum branching angle: 40 degrees Maximum iterations: run for up to seven branching steps Branch cross section shape: choose the default, rounded shape Base shape: a single stem (option 0) Custom shape: draw a custom path with 10 vertices: Vertex coordinates: (-47.552826,11.729756), (-29.389259,-44.171944), (24.788267,-11.775290) and more... Number of segments between vertices: start at the root Advanced settings off by default Root Min Ratio: set to 50% Max number of branches from each branch: three new branches per step Tip max ratio: set to 70% Start budding position: set at 50% length Tree Trunk Length: set at 40 units Allow branches to keep growing beyond base shape: yes Set maximum length to a full height: set the full 100% Select Trunk Radius of tree trunk at 15 units And branch diameter cutoff set at a mere 1.6
