My Customized Phone Wall Charger
thingiverse
I need a custom model for a smartphone case. To make one, follow these steps: Select from the available options: * The back angle of your phone: 10 degrees * Whether to counter-sink screw holes in the center plate (screw count, depth and diameter are irrelevant): no * Wall thickness of your case: 2mm * Angle formed by inner parts (this may need adjustment based on how the part prints out and your preferred fit): 2 degrees * Case base height above screw heads in the bottom plate: 3mm * Counter-sink depth in screw holes, centerplate counter sink only affects screws in it: no * Customizable font to be embedded within this design or text size as default (the current version embeds 'Orbitron'): orbitron * Diameter of holes where chargers or the like will attach through the case wall. A hole that large requires reinforcement under some scenarios: 3mm * Font point-size (0 defaults to size 9 if the user isn't changing this for any other design): 0 * Depth from case surface to top counter-sink line (will change slightly during creation with 'TextY' settings below but not as much otherwise unless specified): 0 * Counter-sink depth only, applies when there's no reinforcement for a counter sink at that location and may lead to slight warping. For now set to zero: 0 * Where to position charging elements above phone body height within the center plate; also defines bottom hole offset for chargers if any, and is centered relative to centerplate in most positions (but left in right on 'screw right' configurations or top and left respectively with right on the center, but all screws use their default locations and values so far): 0 * Thickness of banding to hold charger in place above and beyond thickness as described above, used in calculations to size that hole and center: 4mm * Set to empty line for customization * Depth (if not using a text modifier value to set that part from 'bottomplate' position), where text begins relative to case surface; applies only at center unless another setting is chosen or an 'invert' setting applied which I haven't programmed in so just stick with the default for now): 0 * Modifying values from center (as used in the calculation of 'TextY'): * Slack in percent between where text starts relative to case bottom, a measure used internally. No modifier makes up the slack fully; the higher you set it then the lower its contribution will be but at minimum -10 it would remove 0.9 units of depth from text, and a max positive will increase it accordingly so the minimum becomes +1 (at least in relation to that last figure). * Texty modifier, currently 1. That should work just fine unless someone figures out a design with the potential to be used as an anchor: No, you needn't bother. I can make up more than this in about ten minutes with some decent tools so I guess we won't bother. That was quite easy really!
