My Customized Parametric big button (now with microswitch!)

The Thingiverse is proud to offer this highly customizable version of our popular Switch Button with Dome design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:379920, created just for you with the Customizer app! Here are your custom settings: We recommend starting by choosing your switch button dimensions. This is done through several variables: The ridges of the button will be set at 6 units. Next up, select the diameter of the switch button. You can adjust this setting to your liking - just keep in mind that larger buttons might make it harder to access switches mounted above or below. Once you're happy with these settings, consider adding some finishing touches: A chamfer on a cutting tool is essentially an angle where the edge is reduced at 45 degrees (a "V" shape) as you approach one corner of your model. Adjust the radius accordingly by setting it to .75. Choose a thickness for your button - our recommendation is 1 unit, but feel free to adjust as needed. Lastly, define how tall the switch base should be: try setting it at 3.61 units. To add visual flair to your model, select a size and type of sphere by adjusting its radius to 35 units. If you'd like, we can even create a label for the button! Simply set the dome text to "Press" in a style that suits your project's theme. To balance aesthetics with usability, try fine-tuning the length/width ratio. Set it to 5.99 units - this should provide an optimal user experience while maintaining visual appeal. Lastly, let's add some extra realism: set the melting pool height to .25 for added detail. With that in place, you can finish off your custom switch with a total height of 9.5 units. And finally, define how many segments we will display. Choose a number between 80-100 or more. The higher the value, the smoother the shape. Set this variable as high as 100 if needed to get a perfect result.
