My Customized OU Pixel Beads Photo Panel
thingiverse
A 8x6 LED Pixel Sign Kit, created for makers and hackers. Build a customizable display screen to light up your message with an open source hardware approach. Designed using a Tessel-LED core board that allows anyone to program the design on any Arduino IDE. Customized versions available for Thingiverse. To assemble this project, follow these simple steps: 1. Gather required materials: pixel_shape = 4 LED lights (available in Adafruit's Pixel Kit or SparkFun's Micro-Pixels), thickness = 0.5 copper wires (3 AWG) and an 8x6 matrix PCB. 2. Cut the LED board according to your preference for size: grid_size = 0.3 3. Connect each of the 48 individual LEDs in rows of 8 on the matrix to their corresponding spots using the wire with thickness = 0.5 copper. Leave space for future add-ons if you need them. 4. Finally, put all the elements together using these dimensions: border_width = 1 To make it easier to build and more appealing visually, use elongation pixel_elongation = 1. This makes sure the LEDs line up as you intend. Using pixel_shape = 4 results in better image clarity overall compared with round lights and offers flexibility so users have a higher quality output overall.
