A 3-D Printed Planetarium Set. Designed and made by a Thingiverse User. Printable in several file formats. Use the Thingiverse Customizer to customize your download options. This item was customized on May 2, 2020 9:43 AM. The Options You Selected Seven planets with teeth around their axes rotate through a transparent plastic globe representing space. W=width = 6.7 in. or diameter 13.4 inches; P = planet diameter = 3 inches each and made to hold a 5-1/8-inch disc. Eight rods attach each planet to the outside ring. Five 12-foot diameter solar systems have been removed and not shown on this design for printability purposes. Two Twist and turn pieces connect planets together using an axle pin with tolerances of .2, but that would result in wobble so only approximating with number is accurate. You may see a bit more glue used between some planet pieces where they do meet at one point because some will come apart from the weight. No glues are used to attach parts like in most cases as much room has been provided between moving parts and 10mm or 8oz of silicone caulk.
