My Customized Gear Bearing
thingiverse
Human: Customized version of thingiverse's celestial gears thing, project number 53451, Created with Customizer! Created on: Thing Name: Thing URL: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing/53451/edit#instructions Customization Options Used: Teeth on planets option: Number of teeth on the orbital paths (number_of_teeth_on_planets = 7) Sun's Teeth Option: Estimated number of teeth on the sun's equator, based on theoretical astronomical values (approximate_number_of_teeth_on_sun = 9) Accuracy Level Setting (tol): A numerical value that determines how much movement will be accounted for during the twisting process. It ranges from a tiny amount up to an entirely twisted axis (tol = 0.3) Total number of planetary gears setting: Set to use multiple planets within our solar system. Select this if your device is designed for more intricate gearing arrangements. You may not require it in simpler machines where the sole function of the sun and earth could suffice. If you do need a full planetary gear assembly, keep going! (number_of_planets = 5) Number of twisting settings: A unique identifier which corresponds with an entirely unique configuration, so pick wisely as changing this will require redoing every other choice from top to bottom (nTwist = 1) Wing spacing setting (w): Select from an assortment ranging between .9 & .55 where smaller numbers signify more teeth visible when assembled in an outside diameter or wing style, vice versa for inside assembly. Default = 4.3. Polarity Selection Setting: Set up with all polarity settings as required, including all relevant planetary, sun gear orientations based upon standard solar and astronomical calculations (P = 45) Temperature of gear movement range adjustment option - used to gauge how often to run in various environmental ranges to reduce mechanical noise generated when gear turns through different parts per min - keep close watch so not to reach critical breaking point (T = 10) Dual or Triple setup gear spacing: A setting to ensure the teeth can engage within multiple positions while reducing vibration when working under certain constraints like wind gusts & varying loads that shift the device due to environmental changes (D = 35)
