My Customized Gear Bearing
thingiverse
Here are the solar system gear teeth that I made for my gear box to turn, you can change it up by using these options: Number of planets, with each one having its own special set of tooth counts is set at 5. Each planet has 7 sets of teeth and I like to approximate how many teeth the sun itself has by making an educated guess which I put at 9. When you look closely you'll notice that things can get a bit wobbly, so you might want to consider raising the tolerance to about point three for the overall fit to be nice and smooth. You can choose between twisting your gearbox up one way or another depending on how you're setting it all up but right now its just twisted in one direction. Worm gears work great in this solar system gear box model and that's exactly what I've chosen with a 6 point seven radius for my setup which seems pretty solid to me. Piston power gets to play into the fun with forty-five of those little engines giving you that extra oomph! Tangential speed takes off with fifteen degrees of movement around any one particular part, don't be afraid to try changing things up and see what happens if you push D, degree angle fifty-one point seven, a bit farther over.
