My Customized Gear Bearing

thingiverse

A customizable planet model with interchangeable suns is a thing of great wonder, indeed. Created by an enthusiastic user on Thingiverse, this incredible creation has the ability to inspire and spark imagination in all who behold it. With its advanced Customizer feature, one can tailor this celestial wonder to suit their every whim. Choose from a wide range of settings that include approximate number of teeth on suns (currently set at 9), number of planets orbiting said sun (a whopping 5 in our example!), planetary diameters measured in light years (w = 6.7 for starters), planetary masses given as solar units (P = 45 is our test setting), transit durations spanning an average of a fortnight (T = 15 days, that is), and the delightful distance of planets from their parent star expressed in AU (D = 51.7 to begin with). Tolerance can be set to a comfortable margin at any time using tol, but in our current configuration we have this number pegged to an acceptable value of 0.2. And let's not forget about the total count of teeth on these marvellous planetary bodies - it looks as though our example planet has 7 in store for you! Twisty goodness awaits at every turn thanks to adjustable variable nTwist set to a default of just one.
