My Brain

My Brain

thingiverse

I recently discovered that I can harness the potential of my anatomical scans' NIfTI files to create a 3D model of my own brain, which can be utilized in my fMRI research. I employed Freesurfer to convert the .nii files into .stl format and then successfully separated it into two halves for an intriguing visual effect. I developed the model by following key sections from these tutorials: https://github.com/miykael/3dprintyourbrain and http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-print-your-own-brain/. Feel free to print or use my brain for any purposes you see fit, just refrain from selling it or judging me for it. The model was printed on a Wanhao D7 using Monocure Rapid Grey. You will likely require supports; I created them for my DLP printer using B9Creator.
