Direct replacement for the OEM dome light switch knob, this part is a drop-in solution. The OEM component, although affordable, is notoriously fragile and prone to breaking. I personally replaced two of them in 50,000 miles, highlighting its susceptibility to damage. The screw boss, in particular, is brittle and lacks any form of reinforcement. The original STL model from aronsky was simplistic but lacked a crucial feature - a screw boss. While this design choice made assembly easier, it created problems when trying to mount the part. Furthermore, I found that the screw hole was too large, making it difficult to secure the component properly. My revised model addresses these issues by adding a screw boss and adjusting the hole diameter for better fitment. Additionally, I have contoured the knob to closely match the OEM switch, ensuring a seamless integration with your vehicle's interior.
