mx-5 rear speaker mount
thingiverse
I wanted to be able to mount some 'rear' speakers in my mx-5 nb. I decided to create this mount for 2 3.5inch speakers that fits between the seats. It re-uses the central hole that the carpet trim is pinned into. just re-use that or some other plastic tree thing for pinning them back in place. You need to mirror the 'driver_speaker_mount' to make the one for the passenger side. you need 2 of each of the speaker grill rings - these are to 'clamp' a piece of mesh using rivets through the 4 small holes, then mount infront of the speakers using the same m5 bolts as the speakers. Everything should print without supports. I used PETG, 0.3 layer height, 15% infill. I made a video about making the mesh covers and some more details on this and a phone mount here: https://youtu.be/9O9k3l7GFIM
