MWO Style Fire Moth

MWO Style Fire Moth

A heavily modified MWO Mist Lynx, transformed to resemble the iconic Fire Moth, comes to life at 6mm scale for standard Battletech tabletop play. I meticulously cleaned up and extruded all meshes to ensure a seamless model with minimal gaps, although some minor imperfections may still exist. This resin printer-friendly design works remarkably well despite not being manifold. I'd like to extend my gratitude to IonRaptor for their outstanding Fire Moth creation, which served as the inspiration for this project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3645193. Their model, while similar in concept, retained several holes typical of MWO exports. I took a clean Mist Lynx and transformed it into a Fire Moth, incorporating the cockpit from the Cicada with significant modifications that render its origins unrecognizable. To ensure practicality at this scale, I eliminated unnecessary details or modified them to be printable while preserving essential features. The base is included, featuring an engraved unit name on the back face, and I've provided a set with and without the base for added versatility. This model's loadout is specifically designed for a Fire Moth Prime. Two poses are available: a standard at-attention stance and a more dynamic action pose, perfect for adding variety to your Battletech collection. Happy gaming!
