I secure the labels to cables at work in our conference rooms using two zip ties, making it clear that outside visitors shouldn't take them and also identifying what each cable is for with distinct labeling. The color-coded labels include HDMI - both ends feature an HDMI connector, MDP - featuring a Mini-Display Port, DP - used for Display Port, and VGA - no explanation needed due to its universal recognition.
