MV-18650 - Minimum Viable 18650 holder
thingiverse
This 18650 holder is remarkably lightweight - all its walls are a mere 1mm thick. I created it with the intention of integrating it into a project box using either a CAD merge/join operation or simply gluing it inside an enclosure. Note that it's specifically designed for smaller 9 x 14.5mm AA/AAA battery springs, not the larger and more robust springs recommended for 18650 batteries. As it centers these smaller spring pads vertically, if the tabs are positioned at the bottom of the case (as seen in my images), they won't actually protrude beyond the case's edge. Therefore, they need to be soldered to the connecting wires prior to insertion and then have the wires threaded through the holes.
