A muzzle-loading pistol is an antiquated firearm design where the projectile is loaded from the front end, or "muzzle," of the barrel. This process typically involves pouring gunpowder into the barrel followed by ramming a ball down the barrel until it rests on top of the powder. Finally, a paper or cloth patch is wrapped around a small rod and used to clean the barrel before inserting a bullet-shaped projectile.
