Mutoscope low-tech and high-tech at the same time: Low-tech: the very basic way to mechanically run an animation (Like Thomas Edison's Kinetoscope,) but made with very last high-tech 3d printing. my first full project in solidworks from scratch!! now i can enjoy my granddaughter Neomi's first smiles over and over... thank you instructables handy_woman for the inspiration!! https://www.instructables.com/id/GIF-Player-Out-of-Paper-IPhone-Live-Photos-in-Pape/ Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15% Notes: you have to print : two reels, two vertical posts , 24 photo holders. 48 rings to keep the photos in place Post-Printing for printing the 24 frames (one second) i used Photoshop and Premiere. but there are online places that can convert video to gif and separate images: like ezgif.com each frame is a printed in 250gr paper 12cm X10 cm and has holes, punched with a standard office hole puncher. (8cm apart) that keeps the frames in place and registered the photo holder has pegs at the same distance. I added the template i used to print the frames a4.pdf which has the center mark for punching the holes and for printing 4 frames in a4 page. Category: Mechanical Toys
