I'm posting this on Facebook for Wave Production's fans: https://www.facebook.com/WaveProduction-898263533576863/?ref=hl. I created a versatile tool combining optical treatments, including welding pane, plastic projectile protection, and focusing glass features. For personalization, simply replace the existing glass with one of your choice - welding glass N13 allows observing eclipses, while glass N12 enables sun viewing. You can customize further by modifying the frame's dimensions in SolidWorks 2016. Using this design, you can insert any type of optical pane, such as laser glasses. I made use of "Boitier coulissant vitre simple" with a glass size of 2mm/110mm/55mm and "Boitier coulissant UV pour multioptique de fou" with a glass size of 5mm/106mm/55mm. My UV filter glass measures over 50mm in height, 105mm in length, and 3mm in thickness. I protected it with a glass measuring 2mm/110mm/55mm. In the photos attached, you can see the first lamp using N11 UV filter and the second one utilizing N12 UV filter for better protection. Assembly is achieved through M4 Screws. Here are my print settings: - Rafts: Yes - Infill: 30% maximum for optical parts - Notes: Use infill at 30% maximum for optical parts, 20% maximum for the hull, and 80% maximum for the cache. - Printer Speed: Low to Medium in general. - Precision: Normal to Fine. - Layer Height: Up to 0.30. When designing this tool, I needed a way to safeguard my UV filter glass while making it easy to swap optical parts in or out. I was inspired by army binoculars and telescopic protective shells.
