Overall I used an easy 3D program called SketchUp Pro 2015 since this particular program made it relatively simple to create the 3D model. Using the specified printer brand stated below also made it easier, so there were no missing pieces when the model was printed as an example. It was a fun creation to make and as a result it turned out to be a pretty good 3D version of the design I made on SketchUp Pro 2015. If you want to make a cool 3D monster snake then this is the design for you. Print Settings Printer Brand: Stratasys Printer: uPrint SE Plus Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.0130 Infill: Sparse low density Notes: For this particular printer model it's a relatively easy machine to use in order to create 3D printing creations. However, sometimes this printer model has its material jammed. As an important tip if the STL from any of the 3D printing sharing sites or a creation you made yourself and it isn't fixed then for this printing model it will not create the 3D creation. In order to fix the STL file go to a Microsoft website called Microsoft 3D Model Repair Service. Besides that personally out of all the programs you can use to create a 3D model yourself I strongly prefer using the 3D program SketchUp Pro 2015. Overall in order to actually print your creation is as follows in simple steps: 1. After logging to the computer connected to the printer model by inputing the password. 2. Then insert your flash drive. 3. Click on File then click on open STL. 4. Before step 5 make sure to check the size, layer resolution, model interior, etc. 5. Next input your 3D creation by clicking Add to Pack. 6. Finally, click Print. Post-Printing Sometimes the model doesn't need to be put into a bath because as an exception if the supports for the model fell off on its own then there's no need to do it. So if what I mentioned previously did not occur then once the 3D creation is completed then immediately place the 3D model creation into a bath, which is made of sodium hydroxide otherwise known as NaOH. It's a highly caustic solution and dangerous so avoid contact with exposed skin. The 3D model creation must be left in the bath for about 9 hours. Then take it out of the bath and dry it off until it is completely dry, which will be about 24 hours so I suggest letting it dry overnight. For the following next day use sandpaper to sand the entire surface and smooth out the lines, which will lead finally to painting it. As a result the finished product was just like the design I made on the 3D program SketchUp Pro 2015, but because depending on the type of color I used to create the model some details weren't visible. How I Designed This Before I designed the 3D model creation I used the 3D program called SketchUp Pro 2015. In the beginning I started with a simple shape such as a triangle for the head and then by using the freehand option I drew the body so it would curve side to side as if in motion. Afterwards I would extrude the flat pieces for each part of the model upwards. Next I added detail by using two different shapes in one option that contains multiple types of shapes. Then I would draw circle shapes in the eye and delete them. Lastly I did a last check to see that the design wasn't missing any parts or the shapes etched into the model are not too drastic, but just enough to be noticeable once it is printed. So to conclude after the previous step above just for fun I painted it with the colors below similar to the color patterning of a coral snake.
