The shell's spirals are completely surrounded by the last spiral and therefore invisible from outside. A notched opening runs along the entire length of the shell, straight, only bent at the top. Numerous small teeth are visible on the lip side. Shell light brown, with dark brown spots and streaks; the suture line is distinct and resembles a river map. The base is cream-colored. The interior is white.
