Mussaurus Hatchling Skeleton
sketchfab
Mussaurus patagonius hatchling skeleton, unearthed from early Jurassic deposits, now laid bare for all to see. A modified scan, courtesy of jrhutchinson, brings this ancient fossil to life in stunning detail. The original skeleton, once compact and neatly arranged, has been carefully unfolded to reveal its intricate anatomy. To better showcase the skull's structure, its shape has been restored to its former glory. Meanwhile, missing bones from one side have been mirrored, appearing darker than their counterparts on the opposing side. Although the skeleton is largely intact, several toes and most of the tail are noticeably absent. Nonetheless, with the tail fully restored, this remarkable fossil would stretch approximately 25 cm in length.
