Motor Design by Austin Brown for the Rex Putnam High School Rocket Club Assembly: Step 1: Attach parts 1, 2, and 3 together using glue. They will fit tightly, so sanding them before assembly is a good idea. Step 2: Repeat the process with part 4, sanding it before gluing it to the rest of the rocket motor. Step 3: The rocket cap should simply twist on. Comments: Before assembling the parts, measure and cut a piece of heat-resistant material that can withstand the fuel mixture being used. This will cover the inside of the rocket motor. The motor is designed for multiple reuse. CNC machining the motor out of aluminum is the best method, resulting in a lightweight design that doesn't require additional heat-resistant material. While 3D printing the motor is possible, it requires an insulator to be installed inside for proper function.
