Civil War Musketeer. This iconic weapon was wielded by musket infantry, Zouaves, and enlisted men during the tumultuous American Civil War. A notable exception to standard-issue armament was held by flag bearers, fifers, drummers, and buglers, who marched into battle without firearms at their side.
