Music-stand Wrench
thingiverse
For years, every time I arrive at a performance or rehearsal with a wobbly music stand, I vow to create a compact wrench that fits neatly into my gig bag. Lately, I've stopped merely thinking about it and have actually begun designing the wrench. This handheld tool is specifically designed for Manhasset music stands, featuring three hex openings on its flat side. The large opening is tailored to tighten loose desk bolts at the neck assembly, while the smaller opening on the opposite side is perfect for securing wobbly shafts from underneath the tripod base. Additionally, the tiny hex opening on the other flat side is ideal for adjusting 3/8" nuts or bolts, a common size found in many music stands. The wrench prints effortlessly and requires no adjustment before use. I've rounded all edges to ensure it fits comfortably in your hand. Although I haven't yet had the chance to test this tool in real-world situations, I believe it will be an invaluable addition to my gig bag.
