Mushroom Grinder Question Mark Box

Mushroom Grinder Question Mark Box

I printed this object at 100% infill with a support structure of 7 to 10 percent. I used a small hinge design by Robhumm from Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21444), which was printed at the same settings and 100 percent scale, just like the box itself. The orange model is also printed at 100% scale, and although it fits well into the grinder without a bottom bracket, the white Glow in the Dark one doesn't quite fit when printed at 102% scale. However, the bracket works perfectly with the grinder. Please excuse the irregularities visible on the middle part of the bracket - I'm working on designing a rising platform that will cause the mushroom to lift up as you open the box, but this feature is taking longer than expected to perfect, so I released an intermediate version for now. The hinges are glued directly onto the box, starting from the lid (which was my approach at least). The part of the hinge with one loop instead of two should be attached to the lid's smaller side when viewed from the side and positioned flush with the top and side edges of the lid. I recommend gluing it to each corner of the lid for a secure fit. I'm excited to share this design, which marks my first contribution to Thingiverse, despite having no prior experience in designing objects - I simply let my instincts guide me through the process!
