Mushroom Gourd Birdhouse 1

Mushroom Gourd Birdhouse 1

This birdhouse was designed specifically for someone special. I replicated the traditional gourd-style birdhouses but made it wall-mountable by flattening the back. The entrance is 1.25 inches wide to accommodate sparrows, swallows, and similar-sized birds. It also features good ventilation and a weather-tight seal, with an easily removable back panel for easy cleaning. To print this design, lay it flat on its back and use generous supports under the main body's neck. Use CA glue or a suitable adhesive to attach the perch and mushroom cap roof securely. Print with PETG or ABS, then paint the birdhouse to enhance UV stability. I applied a thin layer of bondo and sanded it smooth for a finished look. Make sure to use a wide brim on the mushroom cap, as it prints on one side. You can find my other birdhouse designs by checking out this page. I highly recommend using Overture PETG for excellent results. Check it out on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2Rwhky7 and https://amzn.to/3b8o3q4.
