The Museo Soumaya, a private museum located in Mexico City, boasts an impressive collection of over 66,000 works spanning 30 centuries of art. This extensive array includes stunning sculptures from Pre-Hispanic Mesoamerica, as well as remarkable pieces by renowned artists such as Salvador Dalí and Auguste Rodin. The museum's repertoire is further enriched by a comprehensive selection of 19th- and 20th-century Mexican art and masterpieces by celebrated European old masters like Bartolomé Esteban Murillo and Tintoretto, making it one of the most complete collections of its kind. The building itself is a striking example of Postmodern architecture, skillfully designed by Mexican architect Fernando Romero in collaboration with Ove Arup and Frank Gehry. The result was an innovative and modern structure that was completed in 2011, showcasing the perfect blend of functionality and artistic expression.
