The Museum of Anthropology and History, located in the Chapultepec Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City, was built in 1964 under the design of architects Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, Rafael Mijares, and Jorge Campuzano. Its central courtyard takes center stage with a massive cover (52 x 82 meters) supported by a central column or "umbrella" as this space is known.
