In Catia v5, the study for Model No. 31 was completed, revealing a weight of 478g (1.0538lb). A safety factor of 8 (FOS = 8) was chosen to account for the improved mechanical behavior due to directional fibers and material removal machining. This doubled safety factor compensates for the lack of fiber directionality in additive fabrication, where the material's mechanical properties are uniform in all directions. The initial weight was 2048g, resulting in a 76.66% weight reduction with Model #31. Tension values include: Cond#1 - 8.74E8 N/m2 (126.76ksi), Cond#2 - 8.99E8 N/m2 (130.39ksi), Cond#3 - 6.60E8 N/m2 (95.72ksi), and Cond#4 - 6.53E8 N/m2 (94.71ksi).
