Mus musculus, House Mouse
myminifactory
This specimen, an adult female, was collected in the Patterson Building on the University of Texas at Austin campus back in 1968 and promptly placed into systematic collections of recent skeletons within the Vertebrate Paleontology Laboratory. The specimen was made readily available for scanning by Dr. Pamela Owen and Dr. Timothy Rowe from the Vertebrate Paleontology Laboratory of the Texas Memorial Museum of the University of Texas at Austin. Funding for scanning came courtesy of a National Science Foundation Digital Libraries Initiative grant awarded to Dr. Timothy Rowe.
