Murray Monkey Island with light. It is a beacon or signal to easily locate the post at computer meetings. Especially when the lights go out. The figure is Murray, a mythical and sarcastic character from the computer adventure series "Monkey Island". The function of this 3D object is to decorate, to highlight, not to illuminate. Its light is dim. It uses a 5v LED strip cut-out that allows it to be powered by a USB from the computer. I put in only one LED, but there is room for two. If you cut out the contour of the methacrylate you could put even more LEDs. The head, tube and base assembly I have fitted and fixed with black electrician's tape. Finally, as I didn't have black PLA, I used grey PLA and then painted it black :-)
