I constructed a Murphy Bed in my room, designed for a queen-sized mattress. For assembly, utilize 1/2" bolts with washers. The 2x4's may not be precisely sized, but their lengths are accurate. Customize your own support system for the bed since it is freestanding and does not require wall mounting.
