In the U-Talent program at the Freudenthal Institute (Utrecht University), our team developed and teaches a lesson module about Muqarnas, drawing heavily from http://www.jphogendijk.nl/projects/muqarnas2010.pdf. The lesson module, designed for 14/15 year olds, equips students with the skills to describe complex Muqarnas structures using vertical projections. These projections manifest as intricate tiling patterns, which serve as a foundation for creating their own unique Muqarnas designs. The structure of these designs is rooted in 12 distinct cells, the vertical projection of which can be viewed in the attachment titled "individual cells from paper". Prior to this innovation, students constructed individual cells from paper, as depicted in the attached files labeled "constructed paper cells". However, this process proved to be time-consuming and labor-intensive. In response, we created 3D models of the Muqarnas cells. An exemplary model showcases its versatility with a top-down view, accessible via the similarly named file. Additionally, a front-view image is available for further examination in the likewise titled file.
