My mom is a bird enthusiast, so I made her two birdhouses as gifts, nicknamed 'mUm haUs'. Although unsure if birds would reside in them, these creations might serve as decorative art pieces. Modeled in Maya, 'haUs1' began with a poly sphere while 'haUs2' used sub-d's. 'HaUs1' resembles a gourd, and 'haUs2' has a unique Smurf-like appearance. Both feature the embossed intersecting words 'mUm & haUs' on their bottom. Successfully printed with PLA on Replicator 1 using platform settings of removable Lexan, no HBP, and extrusion temp of 220 degrees; each house had 2 shells with 10% infill. Unfortunately, I forgot to record the print duration.
