EDIT1: Have updated the chamfer on the drop plate to improve stir bar loading EDIT2: Added parts for using a M2 screw with matching nut instead of 4-40 Device to dispense stir bars into a 96-well plate containing glass shell vials - typically used in screening chemistry. Fits glass shell vials 8 mm in diameter; holes for stir bars are abour 3.5 x 6 mm. Assembled with cyanoacrylate glue; holes in knob and drop plate are 2.5 mm and were manually threaded with a 4-40 screw; screw was cut to an appropriate length and piece of compression spring added before the knob in order to make the device spring-loaded. No supports except for the stir bar slide out (supports required for offset piece). See printing notes for some tips.
