Multirotor Fishing Line Release
thingiverse
Human: Surf fishing is an exciting activity, but getting the bait out far enough can be a real challenge for me. To solve this problem, I created a unique fishing line servo release system specifically designed for multirotors. With my craft taking out the bait, you can then activate the servo to drop the line and catch the fish. It uses a Tower Pro MG90S servo, but any other micro servo would likely work as well. To complete this project, you'll need a sturdy shaft like a 5mm steel rod piece from an old printer and a way to attach it to the servo. Simply solder a short wire to the shaft and run it to the servo horn for a secure connection. I printed the release mechanism with ABS set to 0.2mm layer, using 50% infill without any supports. The result was quite sturdy, although I plan on printing another version with 100% infill for comparison. Whether you're an experienced angler or just starting out, this innovative system can enhance your fishing experience and help you land the big catch.
