These feeders enable an extruder to tap into 2, 3 or 4 sources through the filament feed, making it effortless to switch between colours and materials without worrying about nozzle alignment issues. However, before switching to a new source, existing filament must be cleared out of the way, giving incoming filament a clear path to the nozzle, which may require customising control software for optimal results.
