Mould for cable "aftercare" for Multiplex 6pin connector used in RC models.

Print instructions

Printed with ASA, dipped in acetone (optional). Layer height 0,2mm.

The same mould used for the male and female connector.

Be careful with the temperature of the glue. Typically I use small Dremel hot-glue gun (7mm sticks, approx 165°C(?)), whose temperatures are OK. With big Dremel hot-glue gun (11mm sticks, approx 195°C(?)), which I turn on shortly before filling.

For better mould separation I use a thin layer of liquid soap.

For even filling, use all 4 bolts, rotate mould to "cable UP" orientation and use hole in the middle to fill the mould. Keep adding glue until it comes out from the top, then use the hole on the other side (careful not to inject any bubbles!)

To finish, will need:

4x M3 nut

4x M3 bolt at least 20mm long

Pictures show moulds which have done over 50 connectors, no heat damage, no decrease in the quality of the product.
