Multiple LED Press-Fit Holder
thingiverse
These disk-shaped holders can accommodate up to thirteen 3 mm or seven 5 mm LEDs, featuring side tabs for easy mounting. The LEDs can be press-fitted without adhesive or fasteners. These designs were part of the i3 Detroit's "Squiggly Trike" entry in the Red Bull Creation challenge last July in New York City. The provided design and GCode files are customizable, with a 20% scale up often needed on Makerbots; adjustments may depend on your printer and material. To use, insert LEDs into the holes and solder anode or cathode connections based on your power supply or driver. These holders were driven by an Arduino Freakduino Chibi through a MOSFET for high current requirements.
