Three ways exist to secure a printed circuit board (PCB) within a platform. Firstly, an adhesive can be applied directly to the base of the PCB and then firmly pressed onto the surface of the platform, effectively bonding it into place. This approach requires great care during application to ensure an even coat is achieved without any air bubbles or excess adhesive forming on the surface of the board. Alternatively, small clips can be attached to either side of the PCB and then inserted over corresponding lugs protruding from the platform. These clips serve as a mechanical fastening system that firmly grips the PCB in place while allowing for easy removal when needed. Lastly, the use of screw holes drilled into the PCB and matching threaded inserts in the platform provides a robust method for securing the board in position. By inserting screws through these holes, they then engage with the inserts, creating a secure mechanical bond between the two components.
