MultiPi ( raspberry Pi 2 and 3 case )
thingiverse
Single part printed Raspberry Pi case. No supports needed if printed with usb and lan port openings on printing bed. FYI - I have created a non fan similar version with a smaller hook mechanism here.http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2119079 Features: Single piece print Hang feature via cutout - anything under 1/2" Hang feature via slot in bottom - #8 wood screw. Desktop orientation Internal fan Supplies needed: QTY (4) #4 x 3/8 sheet metal screws - to mount fan QTY (1) 40mm x 10mm fan QTY (4) M3 x 6-10mm long - to mount board QTY (4) small rubber bump-ons (only if you plan to orientate it as desktop) Assembly: Install fan plug fan in to Pi install Pi Install M3 screws in to Pi Notes: I use the M3 screws to basically tap the holes that are existing in the Pi before installing the Pi into this case. That way they be installed much easier. Depending on the height of your fan plug, it can get to be a pretty tight fit. I did it with minimal issues. As mentioned above, this is a tight fit. So if you are the type of person that doesn't want to use a little force to get this in to the case you may want to skip this one :) Also, I was very impressed with my printers ability to print the sharp angles on the top side of the fan. Not sure if everyone will have the same luck but it is way fun to watch work. I did make a couple small cosmetic changes in the model post printing the unit pictured, so your finished part will look slightly different. I probably won't make custom options unless there is a group of people with a request. I also didn't make the sdcard removable without taking the Pi out of the case. I didn't want to sacrifice the look for an option I rarely use. In fact I don't mind removing the Pi once and awhile.... to try out another case:) As always, show me your makes!!! Print time at .25 layer was 4.5 hours Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Dual ext Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 Infill: 20 Notes: I used PLA so if you are using anything else make sure to take shrinkage into account.
