Multimeter Storage Case with Storage For Two Test Leads
thingiverse
I saw a multimeter case by swhitl13, and I really liked the idea because my trusty meter had been rattling around in an old ice cream tub for many years. The late 80s are when I bought the meter from Maplins, but they got too big and self-destructed like so many good stores do. I have two sets of leads: one with normal probes and another with component lead-clips. I also keep a few old crocodile clips, a spare battery, and fuses for when I forget to put the probes back in place after measuring high current. That little lot was a tight squeeze in the ice cream tub, so every time I took out the meter it usually resulted in unused leads falling on the floor. Swhitl13's job was a step in the right direction but wasn't going to meet my needs adequately. So I sat down and drafted one that would, and here it is. I created a small lift-out container to accommodate the spare battery and odds and ends mentioned earlier. Now all I need is something to remind me to switch off when putting it away!
