Multimeter Clock

Multimeter Clock

I designed this timepiece from three voltmeters. One displays the hour, one displays the minutes, and one shows seconds. There are several approaches you can take to make the timepiece work: either a specially crafted microcontroller with additional electronic components or a real-time clock chip combined with an Arduino Nano circuit board. I am happy to share my Arduino code if you would like it to bring your timepiece to life. Or you can follow my lead and enjoy learning about Arduino as you build the timepiece. There are three openings on the back of the timepiece housing. This was originally intended to allow you to set the time when the timepiece was going to be controlled by a microcontroller available from http://alan-parekh.com/projects/multimeter-clock-simpson-260/ (the finished timepiece was actually much simpler than what you can do here.) Feel free to ask questions and I will try my best to respond when I can. This was a highly rewarding project to complete! Video of the timepiece in action: http://youtu.be/PNT_aoCKn48
