Multimedia Center for Raspberry Pi4 with Box for 5inch DSI touchscreen display or Monitor/TV and OMSC: 05/10/2023: - added PCB_Fan Regulator (thanks Cornflakesninja!https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4121604) - redesigned Case HifiBerryDac2+X876NVMeM2_left.stl with logo Raspberry as aerator for fan - added Case HifiBerryDac2+X876NVMeM2_fan_director.stl aerator to direct the fan air This is an implementation of project https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5949544 The result is a 15x10x9 cm parallelepide that will reproduce high definition music up to a maximum of 192kHz/24bit (Dedicated Burr-Brown DAC) Both for reasons of sound quality and to avoid interference I preferred not integrate internally any type of audio amplifier (even if there would be space!) The substantial differences compared to the project https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5949544 are: 1) A 2TB NvME SSD integrated inside the case 2) A button that manages clean shutdown of the system and the switch between the internal 5" DSI screen and the external monitor (or TV), max resolution 1920*1080 3) A LED that updates the user on the status of the button press 4) 5" DSI screen to keep small dimensions 5) The box (which draws inspiration from Raspberry_Pi_Box Volumio with 5" display-5170341) was split into 6 pieces to reduce the duration of 3D printing of each individual part and it has been modified to accommodate the X876 NVMe M.2 SSD and DAC 6) A 4cm fan for system cooling Future implementations (time and desire permitting): 1) Replacing the HiFiBerry DAC2 Pro with the HiFiBerry Digi2 Pro 2) Automatic recognition of monitor or TV resolution HW: Raspberry PI4 2GB HiFiBerry DAC2 Pro Geekworm 2TB NVMe M.2 with heatsink. Actually i power it at 3.5 volts at the moment: we'll see if it's enough to keep everything at an acceptable temperature. Osoyoo 5" DSI touch screen https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07KJBCNS8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 4cm fan running at 3.3 or 5v LED White 5V Wireless Gyro Mouse Pointer https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B015SO37SY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 1 NO (Normally Open) momentary button Heatsink per NVME M.2 SSD https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B0CCTLMFC3/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A9G6ZFNMZJ9WN&psc=1 SW: 1) Python scripts to manage the button and the LED.To manage the button and the LED I used GPIO pins 12 and 13 of the PI4: they do not interfere with the pins used by the DAC. - Short press and immediate release of the button: 3 flashes of the LED and the system performs a clean shutdown of the system - Long press and hold on the button: 6 flashes of the LED and the system will make a switch from the internal DSI screen to the monitor/TV. To restore the internal screen, repeat this operation. 2) OSMC for audio playback. Note that OSMC have its own Android app called "Kore" which allows you to use your mobile phone as a universal remote to have a full control on OSMC for Raspberry 3) Furthermore, through the installation of plugins, for those who wish it will be possible: - listen the radio in streaming - connect to Tidal or Spotify - watch free-to-air Italian television channels in streaming (FREE CHANNELS ONLY, NO ILLEGAL SATELLITE TV!) https://www.yourlifeupdated.net/streaming/come-vedere-la-televisione-italiana-su-kodi-18/ Screws, bushings, nuts and bolts: 4x threaded bushings m2.5 on bottom for raspberry 4x threaded bushings m3 on bottom for back, side dx and side sx 4x screw m2.5x5mm on bottom for raspberry 2x screw m2x5mm per heat protection shield for DSI 5inch display 2x screw m2x10mm front piece fit on bottom 4x nut and bolt m3x10mm front piece (sides) 3x screw m4x12mm self-tapping for display DSI blocking plugs 8x nut and bolt m3x10mm for frontal, side dx and side sx 2x nut and bolt m2x10mm for lock frontal on base Links: 5mm LED holder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4349091 Connector_Cover https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5021324/files X876 V1.1 NVME M.2 SSD Expansion Board https://geekworm.com/products/x876 Case for Media Center https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5949544 ****************************************************************************************************** Multimedia Center per Raspberry Pi4 con Box per 5inch DSI touchscreen display o Monitor/TV e OMSC: E' un'implementazione del progetto https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5949544 Il risultato è un parallelepipedo di 15x10x9 cm che riprodurrà musica in alta definizione fino ad un massimo di 192kHz/24bit (Dedicated Burr-Brown DAC) Sia per motivi di qualità sonora sia per evitare interferenze ho preferito non integrare internamente alcun tipo di amplificatore (anche se lo spazio ci sarebbe !)
