Multilink front suspension outer knuckle.
grabcad
This 5-link front suspension knuckle was specifically designed to fit the Mini R81 wheel (et50 15x5.5 inches with 195/50 R15 tires) for minimal torque steer under braking, featuring zero scrub radius and a trail of 30 mm. The steering axis is tilted 4.93 degrees inward and 5.92 degrees rearward, providing a nice camber gain curve that ranges from -1.8 degrees on the outer wheel to +1.8 degrees on the inner wheel when steering at maximum angle (assuming static camber of -1.5 degrees). The steering axis passes through the outer joint of the drive shaft, eliminating torque steer during acceleration. F1 carbon ceramic brake discs, inspired by real F1 brakes, are used for superior stopping power. The wheel hub is an Opel Astra G front wheel hub, while fictional brake caliper and pads, IKO LHSA-series rod ends, and Doetsch monotube damper outer dimensions complete the assembly. The knuckle design allows independent adjustment of camber and vertical angle of the steering axis. It has been tested under a load of 12 kN in all three directions and proved to have ample safety reserve.
