MultiDock 2 USB panel-mount socket adaptor

To integrate a generic panel-mount USB port within a Griffin MultiDock 2 as an alternative for the original riser card, I designed an adaptor plate. This was part of the STFDock project, which aimed to transform a MultiDock 2 into a standalone OpenSTF device lab that can be powered and used with devices simply plugged in. The panel-mount USB ports required careful trimming with a sharp knife to account for the raised section, corresponding to the thin edge that fits snugly into the MultiDock. The raised section provides sufficient support to compensate for the removed material, especially when tightening the socket onto the adaptor plate.
