Multicopter servo gimbal for IXUS 220HS
thingiverse
Single-axis gimbal for mounting a Canon IXUS 220HS on a multicopter. It consists of two key parts: - "Holder", which attaches to the copter and secures the servo in place. - "Frame" that snugly fits the IXUS 220HS (secured with a tripod screw from below) and is mounted inside the holder using an M3 bolt and nut on one side and attached to the servo arm on the other side. The rear section is hollowed out to minimize weight. I secured the holder to the copter with velcro tape and control the camera via USB/CHDK/scripting. This gimbal was designed for a MG946R servo which has ample power. It is not intended to stabilize the camera, but rather allow tilting for non-vertical shots. Printing with about 25% infill should provide sufficient stability, possibly even less than that.
