SCARA-inspired robotic arm boasts an advanced mechanism where the Theta carriage moves smoothly along the Z-axis by a reliable up-and-down motion. Meanwhile, the R-axis glides effortlessly along the polar co-ordinate system, powered by a precise threadless leadscrew system. Notably, the Theta axis is accurately rotated by a sturdy large gear that conveniently houses the motor driving the R-axis in unison. To control this innovative robot, engineers often repurpose a modified Sanguinolo 3D Printer computer. Although any standard RAMPS system could seamlessly integrate with the robotic arm, requiring only minimal soldering adjustments for optimal performance.
